What Is An Enrichment Program?
We Are A License-Exempt Enrichment Program
Little Folk House operates as a license-exempt enrichment program.
This means we are intentionally designed as a short, play-based morning program (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) rather than a full-day childcare or traditional preschool.
Enrichment programs focus on joyful, child-led learning through play, nature, music, art, and social connection. Because our days are shorter and our groups are small, we can prioritize depth of experience over long hours of care.
We are not a licensed childcare facility, so we do not offer extended care, nap times, or full-day programming. Instead, we offer a beautiful, intentional morning experience where children can fully engage in the wonder of early childhood.
This model allows us to keep our program intimate, flexible, and deeply rooted in play, while remaining compliant with California regulations for enrichment-style programs.
