Meet the
Teachers
We are a small, close-knit team who have worked together for years and share a deep passion for play-based, nature-rich early childhood education.
Victoria Bailey
(Ms. Victoria)
Owner & FounderVictoria is the heart behind Little Folk House. Over the years, she has worked as a music teacher, children’s concert performer, and children’s book author. She is also the founder of Little Folk Club, which has connected her with hundreds of families across Orange County through joyful music classes and live performances for young children.
Through her work with families, Victoria dreamed of creating a space where children could experience music, art, nature, and play in a nurturing and inspiring environment. That dream became Little Folk House.
Victoria brings creativity, warmth, and a deep love of childhood to the program each day. Her passion is creating spaces where children feel safe to explore, express themselves, and build meaningful connections with others.
Vanessa Collett
(Ms. Vanessa)
Program Development & Parent SupportVanessa has a deep respect for the early years of childhood and the powerful role that play, relationships, and curiosity have in shaping a child’s development.
For more than a decade, she has worked alongside children and their families in play-based early childhood programs, both as a teacher and as a program director. During that time, she supported teachers and families in creating environments where children feel safe to explore, take healthy risks, build relationships, and learn through exploration and play.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human and Family Development and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a focus on young children and family relationships.
She is also the founder of Little by Little Play Consulting, where she partners with early childhood programs and families to support children through a play-based, relationship-centered approach.
At Little Folk House, Vanessa supports the program through teacher collaboration, program development, and parent education.
Taco
Official Greeter & Mud Kitchen SupervisorTaco is Ms. Victoria’s dog and a really special part of Little Folk House. Taco enjoys playing in the mud kitchen, laying in the sun by the garden, and zooming around the yard! He can also be found comforting the children in sweet moments throughout the day.
Taco truly brings so much joy and enrichment to our program!
